I am Liz Rowland and teach adults either English as a Foreign Language (EFL), English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) or French up to A level standard. I have a Trinity TESOL certificate.
My Story
I was born in Gillingham, Kent and lived there until 2023 when I moved to Thanet.
After qualifying as a Trilingual Secretary in 1987, I worked in international commerce for around 8 years until ill health made me change careers. I then qualified as a language teacher for adults through Canterbury Christ Church college in 1994 and also gained the Trinity Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) in 2000.
I worked for Medway Adult and Community Service for 17 years as a French and English tutor and then started my own business in 2011 with a business partner. Since my partner's retirement three years later, I have been a sole trader.
